Pioneer Log Cabin

This pioneer log cabin, at one time believed to be the work of Dallas founder John Neeley Bryan, stands on Elm Street behind the Dallas County Records Building. Historians now agree that it was more likely constructed by an early Dallas County settler named Gideon Pemberton. Today the cabin, which is not open to the public, serves as a reminder of Dallas' pioneer past.
