Steven Butler's Family History Website

Stories My Parents Never Told Me

The title of this section is not intended as a criticism of my parents. The reason they never told me any of these stories is because, being uninformed of their family's history, they simply didn't know them. So it's not their fault.

I have divided this section into two sub-sections: "Stories My Father Never Told Me" and "Stories My Mother Never Told Me." These titles reflect which side of my family, my father's or my mother's, from which the stories originate.

Some of these stories are exciting. Some are happy and some are rather sad, even tragic. All have two things in common. One is that until I uncovered them through my research, they were in danger of being lost to history. The other is that they are all true.

This section is a work in progress. I plan to add to it from time-to-time, so please come back and visit again later, to see what's new.
