Following the birth of her first child, William Aaron "Jack" Jenkins, Ida Seay Jenkins was very ill for quite some time, and separated from her husband, Ollie, who stayed in Lamar County, where they had been living, so that she could recuperate at her parents' home at 2511 Idaho Avenue in the Trinity Heights section of Oak Cliff, a part of Dallas, Texas south of the Trinity River. This photo of that house shows what is believed to be Ida, sitting on one side of the porch, with her younger brother, Buck Seay, on the opposite side.
