Boy Scout Hill

Picnic Shelter at Boy Scout Hill

Lake Map Showing Location of Boy Scout Hill

This hill, overlooking the far southeastern end of the lake was once a favorite camping spot for Boy Scout troops, hence the name. The picnic shelter seen here is one of the modern versions installed in the 1960s or 1970s. An identical shelter stands on a higher rise of land nearby, between Buckner Blvd. and Peavy Road.
