Dixon Branch Bridge

Although the date of its construction is uncertain, there was for many years a narrow footbridge, built atop a long sewer pipe, that was raised just above the surface of White Rock Lake. Both bridge and pipe spanned the mouth of Dixon Branch, from Sunset Bay to Dreyfuss Point.

This bridge was dismantled sometime after 1941, probably by the Civilian Conservation Corps. All that remains (see photo, left) is this concrete support at Sunset (formerly Dixon's) Bay.
